Regina McMenomy, Ph.D.
Regina is the founder and lead ambassador of The Geek Embassy. Studying and writing about geeks and geek culture is Regina’s favorite thing to do when she’s not reading student papers, dancing an excessive amount of calories away, or chasing after her daughter. Inclined towards social and mobile gaming, Regina also loves a good round of 7 Wonders, Qwirkle, Small World, or Lords of Waterdeep. Someday, she hopes to actually take part in a D&D campaign so she can officially roll a character and role play her as a devious, highly intelligent mischief maker, which would be nothing like she is in real life.

Dante Buccieri, MLS
Dante is the resident comic book savant of The Geek Embassy. He’s been reading comics for as long as he can remember, and now that he’s a librarian he gets to advocate for comics in libraries and get paid for it. He’s also a tabletop gaming fan, especially those that involve cards, with favorites including Sentinels of the Multiverse, Magic: The Gathering, Bang!, Smash Up, Star Realms, and 7 Wonders. Dante is a library professional at Portland Community College in Hillsboro, Oregon and a huge advocate for comics and games in library settings.

Katherine Olson, Ph.D.
Katherine holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Union Institute & University. She is currently interested in Wonder Woman, feminism, and culture. For The Geek Embassy, she will be writing about comics, looking especially at the Amazon princess and other powerful female characters.
Max Monast
Max, also known as The Crab Goddess to friends and online associates, is a young upstart crustacean that fell into a vat of caffeine as a crabling, and now spends his days looking to and fro for the next shiny pebble to add to his collection. He enjoys the horror genre as a concept, though isn’t a fan of jumpscares, loves tabletop and video games even though he’s usually pretty bad, and will gladly have a conversation with anyone about their favorite almost anything. In his free time he can either be found watching British standup routines, keeping up with his favorite webcomic series, or playing Magic: the Gathering, listening to electro swing or heavy metal as the mood strikes him. At the end, Max/Crab is a collector, looking for new things to discover, archive, and display in text or memory anything that can be added to the collection.

Nicole Tanner
Nicole is a geeky mom, aspiring novelist, and lover of all things gaming. She’s spent more than 15 years talking about video games, so it’s only natural that she’s turned her attention to a different “game.” Nicole loves the opportunity to geek out about Game of Thrones. (She needs something to do while waiting for the next season.)

Tahani Nelson
Tahani is a Geek of All Trades type of geek. She’s dabbled in pretty much everything but holds a special place in her heart (and schedule) for video and tabletop games. Other interests include attending renaissance faires and cons in full dress, practicing calligraphy, writing fantasy novels, discussing comparative philosophy and morality, and apparently listening with a blank smile on her face anytime someone tries to convince her that Magic: The Gathering is as much fun as D&D.

Evan Graham
Evan is a connoisseur of geek culture in all its myriad forms, whether it be television, film, books, comics, video games, pen-and-paper RPGs, or any other vice of choice. He is gradually making his own contributions to the literary world as a professionally published sci-fi author, which has the added bonus of giving him a socially acceptable means of destroying civilizations in horrific ways. Evan spends much of his free time on the stage and behind the scenes at his local community theatre and attempting to satiate his ravenous addiction for story-centered video games and tabletop RPGs.
